This is what almost killed me. What is it? It’s a Portuguese-man-of-war that I almost stepped on while taking a picture of a blue heron in flight. Want to see that pic?
It didn’t turn out so well because my sweet, wonderful, heroic husband grabbed me and pulled me back as I was about to step on one of these amazing creatures. There are so many facts about them I wouldn’t even know where to begin. Maybe that on average their tentacles reach at least 30 feet when bobbing in the ocean, that when their tentacles have been frozen for 2 months and taken out they still have the same potency of poison that can kill in them. The list goes on. I’m just glad that I didn’t get to experience their venom. What a great, watchful husband I have!

Yeah, those things are scary. My brother got stung by one and my sister had one that got stuck to her leg one time. Not too pretty.
Holy cow, that's crazy! I'm glad he was watching out for you. So did ya'll get away to the beach with just the two of you?
It was great to see you at Enrichment. I feel like I hardly see you anymore. Well, I guess I feel that way about a lot of people b/c of Primary :).

Charity! You have some great pictures on your blog. I just got your comment from my blog and Mike and I are so happy to see your cute family! I'm glad to see that you're doing so well and I'll be sure to check back for updates!
I had no clue you had ablog until I went to Gingers tonight. those are cool pic. I hope you had a great time.
Wow, that's scary, I'm glad you were rescued by your heroic husband!
Jacob touched one of those at the beginning of the summer. We had to go around asking anyone if they had meat tenderizer. We found some and it worked, or at least it helped. Cute blog!
